Job Requirements
- No prior experience required
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- moderate physical effort required
- ability to move furniture and use cleaning equipment
- must maintain guest privacy and security
- ability to follow safety protocols
- must communicate effectively with supervisors
- may require valid state driver’s license
- required to obtain housekeeping certification within 6 months
- must complete safety and security training
- willing to perform all assigned duties

Job Duties
- Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
- operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaner, carpet cleaner, waxer and polisher
- empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes and polishes room furniture
- washes walls, partitions, air vents
- disinfects and deodorizes toilet bowls, lavatories, etc.
- washes and replaces window treatments
- cleans ceiling fixtures
- changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
- moves furniture to clean under and behind
- cleans bathroom and kitchen areas
- washes and disinfects dishes, utensils, and cookware
- cleans and maintains ironing board
- ensures proper functionality of luggage racks and availability of hangers
- cleans and programs TVs and alarm clocks
- places proper number of amenities in room
- removes and replaces bed linen
- greets and welcomes guests maintaining outstanding guest relations
- ensures privacy and security of guests
- cleans corridors, stairways, guest laundry patios, and balconies
- performs scheduled carpet cleaning
- performs deep cleaning as required
- maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms
- communicates status of cleaned rooms to supervisors
- accomplishes minor repairs and reports maintenance issues
- cleans and inspects exterior spaces
- assists with loading and unloading trucks
- responsible for keys
- reports unusual circumstances immediately
- reports lost and found items
- sets up and cleans breakfast bar
- maintains a clean and safe environment
- performs laundry operations
- may travel to other facilities
- may obtain required certifications
- performs other related duties as assigned
