Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to communicate with residents, guests and fellow employees
  • ability to scrub and scour surfaces including reaching overhead
  • ability to work in narrow and confined spaces
  • ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
  • ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • prior housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety standards
  • physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks
  • ability to work independently and in a team
  • attention to detail

Job Duties

  • Perform housekeeping duties in common areas and resident apartments
  • ensure cleanliness and neatness of community spaces
  • model the Sterling Touch® by displaying friendly, courteous, and professional behavior
  • report maintenance issues or safety hazards
  • adhere to community standards and procedures
  • assist in inventory management of cleaning supplies
  • cooperate with team members and supervisors to uphold service quality
