Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • weekend rotation schedule within work unit
  • experience with housekeeping and/or long term care preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to prioritize work depending on Charter House/department needs
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • good manual dexterity

Job Duties

  • cleaning residents' independent living apartments weekly
  • providing daily cleaning for Short Term Rehabilitation Center, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and guest apartments
  • conducting security checks of apartments on weekdays or weekends
  • removing trash, soiled linen, and recyclables from cleaned areas
  • processing and delivering personal and Charter House linen
  • using universal precautions and personal protective equipment
  • maintaining work area and equipment in a safe and clean manner
  • using cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment efficiently and safely
  • custodial cleaning of public areas
