Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • required to be on a weekend rotation schedule within work unit
  • experience with housekeeping and/or long term care preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to prioritize work depending on Charter House/department needs
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • good manual dexterity

Job Duties

  • Clean residents' independent living apartments weekly
  • provide daily cleaning in Short Term Rehabilitation Center, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and Guest apartments
  • conduct resident safety security checks on apartments weekdays or weekends
  • remove trash, soiled linen, and recyclables
  • process and organize personal and Charter House linen
  • use Universal Precautions and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • clean and maintain work area and equipment safely
  • use cleaning supplies and equipment according to department guidelines
  • clean public areas
