Job Requirements

  • Four years or more of progressive hotel rooms management experience
  • service oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • hotel or hospitality degree an asset

  • clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • excellent organizational interpersonal and administrative skills

  • ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with PAH Management Standards
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • comply with PAH Management Standards and regulations
  • maximize efforts towards productivity and problem solving
  • ability to understand and apply complex information and data
  • ability to cross-train in other hotel related areas
  • flexible with long hours sometimes required
  • medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and or 20 pounds frequently or constantly
  • ability to stand during entire shift

Job Duties

  • Plan and manage the hotel housekeeping operations
  • develop and recommend budget and labor cost plans
  • manage operations within approved plans
  • maintain knowledge of housekeeping and laundry supplies and pars
  • teach employees proper guest greeting and request handling
  • maintain inspection program consistently
  • ensure compliance with safety and security policies
  • collaborate with other departments
  • inspect rooms daily
  • purchase linens and housekeeping supplies
  • stay current on housekeeping and laundry technology
  • liaise with vendors for pricing, delivery, and maintenance
  • supervise and mentor multilingual and multicultural staff
  • ensure adherence to OSHA and ADA policies
  • manage turndown service and special guest needs
  • ensure proper staffing levels for service goals
