Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
- ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for mixing and use of cleaning chemicals and fill out chemical identification stickers
- pass background check and drug screening
- complete onboarding in a timely manner
- receive annual flu vaccine as required
- possess Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working at specified facilities
Job Qualifications
- previous related experience preferred
- familiarity with environmental services equipment and cleaning techniques preferred
- additional related education or experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively with others by phone and verbally
- ability to interpret and respond to verbal and written instructions
- ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and instructions for cleaning chemicals
- ability to work independently and as part of a team without continuous supervision
Job Duties
- perform a variety of assigned cleaning tasks including dusting mopping scrubbing disinfecting vacuuming and polishing according to departmental policy and procedures
- empty hampers and transports of soiled linen
- empty trash containers and remove all trash including medical waste and sharps
- inventory restock and replenish supplies such as toilet tissue paper towels and hand soap in all assigned areas
- maintain cleanliness of departmental equipment notify appropriate personnel as repairs become necessary protect equipment from damage and properly log equipment usage
- perform special projects such as window washing wall washing and removing heavily soiled items or furnishings
- respond to questions and requests from patients staff and visitors meet or exceed goals for customer service satisfaction
