Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Capability to be on feet all day
- Willingness to work a full-time schedule including rotating weekends
- Flexible and eager to learn
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to work without direct supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial work is an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing and lifting
- Willingness to learn and adapt to hospital protocols
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Job Duties
- Cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, bathrooms, floors, and offices
- Removing trash and wiping surfaces
- Performing tasks related to cleaning and sanitation
- Handling trash, linen, and biohazard removal independently
- Lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds
- Maintaining positive interactions with patients and staff
- Collaborating effectively as part of the Environmental Services team
