Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • complete initial training course prior to working in regulated environments
  • ability to read and comprehend corporate and safety documents
  • ability to complete accurate and legible GMP documentation
  • capability to operate computer systems and handheld electronic devices
  • physical ability to stand and walk continuously for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights over 20 pounds regularly
  • willingness to work in noisy, confined spaces and perform repetitive physical activities
  • flexible to work 2nd shift schedules
  • willingness to travel up to 5 percent of the time

Job Qualifications

  • proficiency in completing accurate GMP documentation
  • ability to operate computer and handheld electronic devices for training and documentation
  • prior experience in regulated cleaning environments preferred
  • strong attention to detail
  • good physical stamina to perform routine cleaning tasks
  • ability to follow strict regulatory protocols

Job Duties

  • perform facility cleaning and support in manufacturing and research environments
  • adhere to GMP, OSHA, EPA and Abbott standards
  • carry out cross contamination cleaning for radioactive and biohazardous areas
  • prepare radioactive and biohazard housekeeping equipment for autoclaving or disposal
  • monitor waste for radioactive contamination and identify biohazardous waste
  • pick and dispose of waste from production, manufacturing, and research laboratories
  • complete GMP documentation and use handheld electronic units for record keeping
  • prepare cleaning solutions per GMP mixing instructions
  • perform microbial control cleaning on walls, ceilings, and floors
  • complete preventive maintenance on housekeeping equipment
  • operate wet/dry battery and electric cleaning equipment
  • support recycling programs by staging recyclable materials and operate bailing and compacting equipment
  • perform occasional duties as assigned
