Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- complete initial training course prior to working in regulated environments
- ability to read and comprehend corporate and safety documents
- ability to complete accurate and legible GMP documentation
- capability to operate computer systems and handheld electronic devices
- physical ability to stand and walk continuously for prolonged periods
- ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights over 20 pounds regularly
- willingness to work in noisy, confined spaces and perform repetitive physical activities
- flexible to work 2nd shift schedules
- willingness to travel up to 5 percent of the time

- prior experience in regulated cleaning environments preferred

Job Duties
- perform facility cleaning and support in manufacturing and research environments
- adhere to GMP, OSHA, EPA and Abbott standards
- carry out cross contamination cleaning for radioactive and biohazardous areas
- prepare radioactive and biohazard housekeeping equipment for autoclaving or disposal
- monitor waste for radioactive contamination and identify biohazardous waste
- pick and dispose of waste from production, manufacturing, and research laboratories
- complete GMP documentation and use handheld electronic units for record keeping
- prepare cleaning solutions per GMP mixing instructions
- perform microbial control cleaning on walls, ceilings, and floors
- complete preventive maintenance on housekeeping equipment
- operate wet/dry battery and electric cleaning equipment
- support recycling programs by staging recyclable materials and operate bailing and compacting equipment
- perform occasional duties as assigned
