Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of initial training course provided by LC Housekeeping
- Ability to read and comprehend written information including quality documents and safety guidelines
- Ability to complete accurate and legible written records in compliance with GMP
- Ability to operate a computer to complete training, download work instructions, document work, and sync data for GMP review
- Capability to stand continuously for prolonged periods
- Ability to walk continuously for prolonged periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push or pull weights over 20 pounds regularly
- Experience with routine work involving chemicals
- Willingness to work in confined spaces and noisy environments
- Capacity to perform repeated bending, stooping, squatting or kneeling

Job Duties
- Perform facility cleaning and support required for manufacturing and research environments at Abbott Lake County
- Adhere to quality and regulatory requirements including GMPs, SOPs, DEA, OSHA, DEP, and Abbott standards
- Perform cross contamination cleaning methods in areas containing radioactive or biohazardous materials or requiring microbial control
- Prepare radioactive and biohazard housekeeping equipment for autoclaving or disposal
- Prepare floor and wall mops for autoclaving used in microbial controlled areas
- Monitor waste for radioactive contamination and identify biohazardous waste
- Pick and dispose of cold waste from laboratories and common support areas
- Complete GMP documentation attestation logs, work orders, and training documents
- Operate handheld electronic documentation units to complete GMP documentation
- Prepare cleaning solutions based on GMP regulated mixing instructions
- Perform microbial control cleaning on walls, ceilings, and floors as per GMP guidelines
- Complete preventive maintenance work orders to meet GMP cleaning requirements
- Operate wet/dry battery and electric equipment including floor scrubbers, sweepers, and burnishers
- Perform preventive maintenance on housekeeping equipment such as battery maintenance, squeegee adjustments, air pressure and filter checks
- Support recycling programs by staging and preparing materials such as glass, paper, corrugate, and plastic for transportation
- Operate bailing and compacting equipment
