Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience with housekeeping and/or long-term care preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to prioritize work based on Charter House and department needs
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • good manual dexterity
  • willingness to work on a weekend rotation schedule within the work unit

Job Duties

  • Clean independent living apartments weekly
  • clean Short-Term Rehabilitation Center, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and Guest apartments daily
  • conduct weekday or weekend security checks of apartments for resident safety
  • remove trash, soiled linen, and recyclables from cleaned areas
  • process and organize personal and Charter House linen and manage delivery of contractor-processed linen
  • use universal precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment
  • maintain cleanliness and safety of work area and equipment
  • utilize cleaning supplies and housekeeping equipment safely and efficiently
  • provide custodial cleaning services in public areas
