Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • experience with housekeeping and/or long-term care preferred
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • must be on a weekend rotation schedule
  • ability to prioritize work based on Charter House or department needs
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • good manual dexterity

Job Duties

  • cleaning residents independent living apartments weekly
  • providing cleaning for Short-Term Rehabilitation Center unit, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and Guest apartments daily
  • conducting resident safety security checks of apartments on weekdays or weekends
  • removing trash, soiled linen, and recyclables from areas cleaned
  • processing personal and Charter House linen within the building and organizing and delivering linen processed by outside contractor
  • routinely using Universal Precautions and appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
  • keeping work area and equipment clean and safe
