Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience with housekeeping and/or long term care preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work based on Charter House and department needs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Willingness to work on weekend rotation schedule

Job Duties

  • Clean resident independent living apartments weekly
  • Report changes in residents' behavior, health, or habits to management
  • Provide daily cleaning for Short Term Rehabilitation Center, Supportive Living Center, Assisted Living Centers, and Guest apartments
  • Conduct weekday and weekend security checks of apartments
  • Remove trash, soiled linen, and recyclables from cleaned areas
  • Process personal and Charter House linen and organize linen deliveries from outside contractors
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and safe manner using cleaning supplies and equipment efficiently
  • Provide custodial services including cleaning public areas
