Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow chemical handling instructions
- Physical ability to perform medium work involving lifting and moving objects

Job Duties
- Ensures a safe, clean, attractive environment for patients, staff and visitors at all times
- Cleans and sanitizes patient rooms, baths, offices, halls and other areas according to established standards
- Maintains cleanliness to limit cross infection
- Cleans assigned areas by washing walls, furniture, tile, fixtures, equipment and other surfaces with cleaning solutions
- Removes trash and waste from assigned areas and refills all applicable dispensers
- Notifies supervisor immediately of low supply levels and equipment malfunctions
- Follows all safety guidelines and maintains areas in safe condition
- Sweeps, mops and applies floor finishes and polishing as required
- Operates various types of cleaning equipment both mechanical and electrical
- Completes all assigned work during the shift without sacrificing quality
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner
- Observes established isolation and asepsis techniques
- Uses supplies and equipment according to standards and within manufacturers' guidelines
- Performs all other duties as assigned
