Job Requirements
- minimum age of 21 years old
- one-year housekeeping and leadership experience preferred
- excellent interpersonal skills
- proven ability to work with children and adults of all ages
- customer service or sales experience preferred
- self-confidence, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- model professionalism, accountability and service excellence
- proficiency with office equipment and computer applications
- knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- obtain CPR, AED and First Aid certifications within 90 days
- complete Praesidium Academy trainings
- experience with diverse populations preferred
- ability to develop authentic relationships

- proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others
Job Duties
- teaches and demonstrates YMCA values of honesty, respect, responsibility, caring and faith
- be knowledgeable in member and staff policies and implement them consistently
- model relationship-building skills including Listen First in all interactions
- directly supervise housekeeping and building supervisor teams, schedule staff for day-to-day operations, programs and events
- work with Branch Executive to hire, train and develop staff
- serve as a responder to security and disciplinary incidents, fire alarms and medical emergencies
- lead through visible actions that inspire and guide the team, be visible and approachable to YMCA members and staff
- ensure facility is attractive and clean by completing duties such as wet and dust mopping, dusting, trash removal, recycling, window washing, vacuuming, snow removal and general cleaning
- regularly monitor all facility and outside areas, respond to member needs and encourage a welcoming environment
- prepare and submit payroll for staff, ensuring accurate timekeeping and timely approval
- conduct daily facility walkthroughs to check cleanliness, organization and supplies
- inventory and purchase janitorial supplies
- communicate and document incidents according to YMCA guidelines
- communicate with YMCA members, guests and parents/guardians
- identify improvements in risk management, safety, cleanliness and member service
- attend required training, staff meetings and supervisory conferences
- work collaboratively with coworkers and leadership
- report damaged equipment or safety hazards promptly
- focus on character development and diversity, equity and inclusion
- perform other functions necessary for smooth YMCA operation
