Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to stand or walk for 100% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push or pull over 100 lbs
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop, crouch and crawl
- Ability to work in environments with wet floors and chemical fumes
- Ability to follow safety, infection control policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
- Ability to treat residents, families, visitors and co-workers with courtesy
Job Qualifications
- Ability to hear oral instruction and pages from management and nursing staff
- Ability to read and understand written communications and instructions for chemicals and supplies
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform general housekeeping tasks
- Ability to conform to established work hours and maintain acceptable attendance record
Job Duties
- Cleaning of resident rooms, bathrooms, training toilets, shower rooms, tea and TV rooms and all other public and private areas throughout the facility
- Removing and rehanging curtains and drapes for laundering purposes
- Sanitizing beds, furniture or other equipment, as assigned
- Stocking supply closets and housekeeping carts with housekeeping supplies and chemicals
- Treats the residents with respect and courtesy
- Maintains confidentiality and respects residents’ privacy
- Follows safety and infection control policies and procedures
