Job Duties
- Handle chemicals and solutions according to safety standards and departmental policies
- present the department positively to visitors, patients, and hospital personnel
- report equipment needing repair promptly
- utilize departmental scripting to introduce oneself in patient rooms and inquire about additional service needs
- identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively
- clean all areas following prescribed procedures and use appropriate disinfectants
- clean and maintain assigned carts and equipment
- replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet tissue, and soap
- observe and follow isolation techniques in accordance with infection control policies
- clean and sanitize areas affected by blood and body fluid spills
- use personal protective equipment such as gloves and adhere to hospital policies
- perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or crew leader
- access medication storage areas for cleaning and maintenance purposes
