Job Duties

  • Handle chemicals and solutions per safety standards and regulations
  • present department positively to visitors, patients, and staff
  • report equipment needing repair promptly to supervisor
  • identify oneself upon entry to patient rooms and inquire about additional service needs
  • demonstrate ability to resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively and tactfully
  • clean all areas following established procedures and use appropriate disinfectants
  • replenish supplies and manage waste disposal according to protocols
  • clean and sanitize blood and body fluid spills
  • use personal protective equipment and adhere to hospital policies
  • perform other duties as assigned and adapt to changing departmental demands
  • maintain access to medication storage areas for cleaning purposes
