Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to carry items of 25 lbs
  • Ability to push carts up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to perform frequent pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, and reaching
  • Extensive standing and walking
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in operating floor machinery and housekeeping equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Moderate to heavy lifting ability
  • Knowledge of safety rules and proper cleaning techniques
  • Familiarity with Labor Management Partnership environments
  • Preferred six months experience in a similar role

Job Duties

  • Operate and utilize cleaning equipment including wet mop unit, dust mop, vacuum, floor scrubber, shampoo machine, buffer, carpet extractor, wet/dry vacuum, and utility cart
  • Clean patient areas such as restrooms, discharge beds, woodwork, horizontal surfaces, TVs, cabinets, furniture, glass, walls, floors, and affixed items
  • Clean auxiliary areas including medication room, nursing station, tub room, soiled utility rooms, storage areas, staff lounge, quiet rooms, offices, exam rooms, treatment rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, elevators, and water fountains
  • Replenish supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, plastic liners, paper cups, and seat covers
  • Report unsafe conditions or defective equipment
  • Follow departmental safety rules including handling sharp objects properly and using correct body mechanics
