Job Requirements
- Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks including vacuuming, dusting, and mopping
- willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed
- dependable and detail-oriented
- physical and mental ability to meet job demands
- successful completion of pre-employment screenings including criminal background check, drug screen, and vaccinations
- comply with Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements
- pass tuberculosis screening and possible physical examination as required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience in a healthcare or senior living environment is beneficial
- knowledge of infection control and hand hygiene practices
- ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and floor mops
- strong attention to detail and thorough work ethic
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- dependable with good time management skills
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning tasks in assigned areas according to schedule and procedures
- dust surfaces, damp-wipe furniture, and empty wastebaskets
- vacuum carpets to maintain cleanliness and reduce bacteria
- clean and polish bathroom fixtures, metal surfaces, and porcelain
- dust mop and wet mop floors in rooms and offices
- spot clean walls, windows, and carpets as needed
- replenish room supplies and clean beds during checkouts
- assist with emergency spill cleanups and special requests
- maintain cleanliness of assigned equipment and report repair needs
- observe and report issues with furniture, fixtures, or building conditions
- respond appropriately during fire drills or other emergency situations
- complete daily checklists to verify completion of assigned duties
- perform other duties as assigned in alignment with CRSS’s mission
