Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least one to three months of on-the-job training
- ability to follow safety protocols
- physical ability to perform heavy lifting and equipment handling
- willingness to work evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- ability to manage exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially unpleasant environments
- no driving required
- must be able to carry communication devices upon request

Job Duties
- perform heavy cleaning duties to maintain hospital sanitation and orderliness
- shampoo carpets and upholstery
- refinish floors using manual and motorized devices
- dust vents, lights, pipes, lockers, ceilings, and wash windows
- clean wastebaskets, television sets, fans, and rubber mats
- wash and disinfect sinks, toilets, bathtubs, showers, and lavatories
- refill soap and paper dispensers
- prepare burn and radiation rooms with protective coverings
- clean beds, mattresses, and patient furniture
- dispose of rubbish and soiled linen appropriately
- operate bailer equipment and manage waste transport
- wash rubbish chute rooms and rubbish trucks
- polish woodwork, brass fittings, and elevator doors
- transport mattresses and furniture
- clean building entrances and sidewalks
- change curtains and draperies
- wash and repair window blinds
- clean construction areas post-renovation
- assist supply clerks and perform conference room setups
- maintain battery-operated devices
- take laundry inventory
- perform housekeeping and laundry aide duties as required
- carry and use communication devices when requested
