Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- At least one to three months of on-the-job training and formal classroom training
- Ability to lift, carry or push items up to 400 pounds
- Ability to work evening shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina for continuous walking, standing, stooping, climbing ladders, and heavy lifting
- Willingness to follow established safety and environmental procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- No driving required

- Ability to follow instructions and observe safety precautions
- Ability to prepare cleaning solutions according to procedures
- Ability to assemble and operate cleaning equipment
- Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
- Physical ability to lift, carry, push heavy equipment
- Ability to perform duties safely and professionally
- Prior experience or training in similar roles is preferred but not required
Job Duties
- Perform heavy cleaning duties according to established procedures
- Shampoo carpets, upholstery, and refinish floors using E.S.D. procedures
- Dust high vents, lights, pipes, lockers, ceilings and wash windows
- Clean sinks, toilets, floors, urinals, and hospital lavatories
- Service and refill soap and paper dispensers
- Prepare burn and radiation rooms by laying protective coverings
- Dispose of rubbish and soiled linens appropriately
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including motorized devices
- Assist in moving beds and patient furniture as needed
- Clean sidewalks and entrances using manual and powered tools
- Change cubicle curtains and wash window blinds
- Clean construction areas post-renovation
- Assist supply clerks and perform related housekeeping duties
- Perform laundry linen inventory
- Carry and use beeper or two-way radio as required
