Job Requirements

  • previous housekeeping or environmental service experience
  • ability to work flexible shifts including day and evening hours
  • ability to follow strict cleaning protocols and infection control standards
  • good physical stamina and ability to perform manual cleaning tasks
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • basic knowledge of safety practices and proper equipment use

  • Performs cleaning assignments per department procedures and protocols
  • uses proper chemical dilution ratios
  • follows infection control practices and procedures

  • properly handles soiled and clean linens in assigned areas

  • remains flexible to change assignments as needed
  • contributes process improvement ideas/suggestions
  • properly documents work assignments

  • takes immediate action as required to assist with emergency codes
  • unlocks and secures access to building as directed
  • cleans emergency spills as needed
  • demonstrates proper use and care of equipment
  • uses proper equipment for assignment/task
  • properly cares for equipment and acts for preventive maintenance
  • reports malfunctioning equipment
  • uses safety precautions
