Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- basic knowledge of cleaning equipment operation
- familiarity with hospital or medical center environment preferred
- ability to follow safety protocols
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting and standing for extended periods
- good communication skills
- reliability and punctuality

Job Duties
- operates and utilizes cleaning equipment such as wet mop unit, dust mop, back vacuum, automatic floor scrubber, shampoo machine, high speed buffer, carpet extractor, wet/dry vacuum, floor buffer, wall washer and utility cart
- operates and utilizes sanipac, compactor and bailer
- cleans patient areas including restrooms, discharge beds, woodwork, horizontal surfaces, TVs cabinets, furniture, glass, walls, floors, and all affixed items using standard cleaning products
- cleans auxiliary areas such as medication room, nursing station, tub room, soiled utility rooms, storage areas, staff lounge, quiet rooms, offices, exam rooms, treatment rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, elevators, water fountains, ice machines, telephones, all horizontal surfaces and performs high dusting
- replenishes supplies including paper towels, toilet paper, soap, plastic liners, paper cups and seat covers
- reports unsafe conditions such as defective or damaged equipment
- assures sharp objects are in proper containers and follows safety rules and proper body mechanics such as lifting techniques
