Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and heavier items with help
- Ability to stand, kneel, walk, and move throughout the shift
- Must comply with all company safety and security policies
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
- Complete all required safety training and certifications
- Willingness to work full time day shifts
- Location based work at Marriott St. Louis Grand
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience helpful
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Job Duties
- Respond quickly to guest and other department requests
- Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
- Place caution signs as required
- Directly contact other departments for urgent repairs
- Organize furniture in guest rooms as needed
- Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas including waste, room service trays, newspapers, dirty linens, and trash near housekeeping carts
- Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
