Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects up to 55 pounds without assistance and heavier items with help
  • Ability to stand, kneel, walk, and move throughout the shift
  • Must comply with all company safety and security policies
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Complete all required safety training and certifications
  • Willingness to work full time day shifts
  • Location based work at Marriott St. Louis Grand

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience helpful
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies

Job Duties

  • Respond quickly to guest and other department requests
  • Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
  • Place caution signs as required
  • Directly contact other departments for urgent repairs
  • Organize furniture in guest rooms as needed
  • Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas including waste, room service trays, newspapers, dirty linens, and trash near housekeeping carts
  • Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
