Job Requirements
- Ability to respond rapidly to guest and department requests
- Capability to identify and report maintenance or safety issues
- Physical ability to reach, bend, lift up to 55 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to stand, sit, kneel or walk for extended periods
- Commitment to safety protocols and wearing a professional uniform
- Availability to work full-time at the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter location
- Willingness to undergo necessary training and certification in safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Respond quickly to requests from guests and other departments
- Identify and report preventive maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
- Place caution signs as needed
- Contact other departments for urgent repairs
- Respond to guest requests and arrange furniture in rooms as required
- Remove items found in hallways and transport them to service areas including wastes, room service trays, unread newspapers, dirty linens and trash near housekeeping carts
- Clean, maintain and store cleaning equipment
