Job Requirements

  • Ability to respond rapidly to guest and department requests
  • Capability to identify and report maintenance or safety issues
  • Physical ability to reach, bend, lift up to 55 pounds with or without assistance
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel or walk for extended periods
  • Commitment to safety protocols and wearing a professional uniform
  • Availability to work full-time at the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter location
  • Willingness to undergo necessary training and certification in safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Job Duties

  • Respond quickly to requests from guests and other departments
  • Identify and report preventive maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
  • Place caution signs as needed
  • Contact other departments for urgent repairs
  • Respond to guest requests and arrange furniture in rooms as required
  • Remove items found in hallways and transport them to service areas including wastes, room service trays, unread newspapers, dirty linens and trash near housekeeping carts
  • Clean, maintain and store cleaning equipment
