Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior healthcare cleaning experience preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- knowledge of cleaning chemical safety
- capability to perform repetitive physical tasks
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- willingness to wear personal protective equipment when required
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written instructions in English
- ability to comprehend verbal instructions and communicate in English
- 3+ months of cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- ability to read and understand instructions, perform calculations, and make comparisons
- ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
- capable of working with cleaning chemicals safely
- capable of performing repetitive cleaning motions
Job Duties
- Receives cleaning assignments and requests cleaning materials
- cleans assigned areas using germicidal cleaning solutions
- strips, cleans, and makes beds after patient dismissal
- sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors and carpets
- cleans and maintains sanitation equipment
- inspects areas for cleanliness
- stores unused supplies and cleans equipment
- performs heavy-duty floor and carpet cleaning
- washes, scrubs, and disinfects walls, windows, and doors
- gathers and disposes of refuse
- moves furniture and equipment using handcarts or dollies
