Job Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic written and verbal instructions in English
- 3+ months cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Must be able to safely move, lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs individually
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions involved in cleaning process
- Requires working with cleaning chemicals safely
- Ability to follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required
- Must be dependable and detail oriented

- Ability to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting
Job Duties
- Receives cleaning assignments and requests cleaning supplies such as mops, buckets, electric buffer, vacuum cleaner, rags, disinfectants
- Mixes cleaning solutions, loads service cart and transports to work areas
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, tile, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal cleaning solutions
- Scrubs and polishes sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors
- Strips, cleans and makes beds with fresh linens after patient dismissal
- Restocks supplies of soap, tissues, towels, and disposable items
- Sweeps, mops limited floor areas and vacuums carpets
- Operates buffing and mechanical shampooing equipment as needed
- Performs routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and reports repair needs
- Visually inspects area post-cleaning to ensure cleanliness
- Cleans carts and equipment and stores items orderly
- Gathers and disposes of refuse following sanitation procedures
- Moves furniture and equipment using handcarts or dollies
