Job Requirements
- Must have the ability to read and write in English
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Preferably 3+ months of experience cleaning in healthcare
- Must be physically capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to work safely with cleaning chemicals
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as sweeping and mopping
- Must be willing to wear personal protective equipment as required
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions in English
- Must be able to comprehend verbal instructions and respond in English
- 3+ months cleaning experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Analytical ability to read instructions, add and subtract numbers, and compare letters and numbers
- Ability to safely move, lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to safely work with cleaning chemicals
- Ability to perform repetitive motions involved in cleaning
Job Duties
- Receives cleaning assignments and requests supplies such as mops, buckets, buffers, and disinfectants
- Mixes cleaning solutions and loads service cart
- Cleans assigned areas including furnishings, fixtures, and equipment with germicidal solutions
- Strips, cleans, and makes beds upon patient dismissal
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and spot cleans floors and carpets
- Performs routine maintenance on sanitation equipment and reports repairs
- Visually inspects area post-cleaning to ensure cleanliness
- Moves furniture and equipment using handcarts or dollies
- Gathers and transports refuse to compactor or holding area
- Performs heavy-duty floor stripping and carpet shampooing
- Washes and disinfects walls, windows, and doors
- Restocks supplies such as soap, tissues, and towels
