Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to respond quickly to guest requests
- Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds without assistance and more with assistance
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and perform physical activity for extended durations
- Ability to follow safety procedures
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to work onsite at the Las Vegas Marriott
- Commitment to maintaining professional appearance and confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring manual dexterity and coordination
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
- Basic training or certification in safety preferred
Job Duties
- Respond promptly to guest and other department requests
- Identify and report preventive or maintenance issues in public areas and guest rooms
- Place caution signs as needed
- Contact other departments for urgent repairs
- Organize furniture in guest rooms as required
- Remove items from hallways and transport them to service areas including waste, food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens and trash near maid carts
- Clean, maintain and store cleaning equipment
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents or injuries
- Complete safety training and certifications
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Maintain confidentiality of company information
- Protect company property
- Support colleagues and treat them with dignity and respect
- Assist the team in achieving common goals
- Meet quality assurance standards
- Move at required speeds to respond to work situations including walking and running
- Inspect tools and equipment to identify defects
- Manipulate objects of various sizes and weights
- Reach above head and below knees, including bending, twisting, crawling, leaning
- Navigate narrow, confined or elevated spaces
- Move on sloped, uneven or slippery surfaces and staircases
- Climb ladders
- Push and pull loaded maintenance carts and related machinery
- Stand, sit, kneel or walk for extended or frequent periods
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors
