Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to carry items of 25 lbs
  • Ability to push carts up to 200 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to operate various floor machinery and housekeeping equipment
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment
  • Preferred six months experience in environmental services

Job Duties

  • Operates and utilizes cleaning equipment including wet mop unit, dust mop, vacuum, automatic floor scrubber, shampoo machine, and carpet extractor
  • Cleans patient areas such as restrooms, discharge beds, woodwork, horizontal surfaces, furniture, glass, walls, floors, and replenishes dispensers
  • Cleans auxiliary areas including medication rooms, nursing stations, tub rooms, storage areas, staff lounges, exam rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, elevators, water fountains, and telephones
  • Replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, plastic liners, paper cups, and seat covers
  • Reports unsafe conditions and defective equipment
  • Ensures sharp objects are disposed of properly and follows safety protocols
  • Uses proper body mechanics including lifting techniques
