Job Requirements
- ged or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- must be able to stoop, squat, kneel, bend, twist, reach, crouch, lift, push, pull, and move moderately heavy equipment and supplies throughout the workday
- strong communication skills in English
- ability to work independently and as part of a team with patience and tact
- physical ability to move and lift items up to 25 pounds and cope with mental and physical stress of the job
Job Duties
- perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned ensuring that all rooms and areas are cared for and inspected according to standards
- work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance with ability to manage time efficiently
- assure work and cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
- report all accidents and incidents to supervisor on the shift they occur
- report all hazardous conditions or equipment to supervisor
- coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services in resident living and recreational areas
- coordinate routine and terminal isolation procedures with nursing service
- adhere strictly to health and safety rules and company-related practices
- perform specific tasks according to daily work assignments
- maintain assigned work areas in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manner
- assure infection control and universal precaution practices during housekeeping procedures
- follow established fire safety policies and procedures
- dispose of refuse daily according to sanitation procedures
- wash and sanitize wet mop head
- attend departmental and staff meetings as called
