Job Requirements

- must be willing to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment

- experience in cleaning or environmental services preferred
- ability to operate various floor machinery and cleaning equipment

- ability to stand and walk extensively during shifts
Job Duties
- Operates and utilizes cleaning equipment including cleaner, wet mop unit, dust mop, back vacuum, automatic floor scrubber, shampoo machine, high speed buffer, carpet extractor, wet/dry vacuum, floor buffer, wall washer, and utility cart
- operates and utilizes sanipac, compactor, and bailer
- cleans patient areas including restrooms, discharge beds, woodwork, horizontal surfaces, TVs, cabinets, furniture, glass, walls, floors, all affixed items
- replenishes dispensers and removes soiled linen and trash
- cleans auxiliary areas including medication room, nursing station, tub room, soiled utility rooms, storage areas, staff lounge, quiet rooms, offices, exam rooms, treatment rooms, waiting rooms, lobbies, elevators, water fountain, ice machines, telephones, all horizontal surfaces, and performs high dusting
- replenishes supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, plastic liners, paper cups, and seat covers
- reports unsafe conditions such as defective or damaged equipment
- assures proper handling and disposal of sharp objects following safety rules and using proper body mechanics
- follows safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment
- performs assigned duties during night shifts and responds to call-in/on-call scheduling requirements
