Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment as determined by background investigation
- Selective Service registration required for males born after 12/31/1959
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Complete online onboarding process including provision of acceptable identification
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- Willingness to comply with PPE use and safety procedures
- Completion of a 1-year probationary period
- Submit all required application documents
- Commitment to public service and upholding federal laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles preferred but not required
- Ability to operate heavy powered cleaning equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Ability to follow safety and hygiene protocols
- Effective communication skills
Job Duties
- Perform janitorial and custodial services including textile distribution and inventory
- Sanitize and disinfect patient and common areas
- Remove waste and manage trash disposal
- Clean blinds, wash windows, walls, and ceilings
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures
- Sweep, scrub, and maintain floors including applying finishes
- Carry out discharge cleaning and other routine housekeeping tasks
