Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- suitable for federal employment as determined by background investigation
- pass pre-employment drug urinalysis
- selective service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- complete online onboarding and provide acceptable identification
- complete all application requirements
- pre-employment physical examination
- participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program
- serve 1-year probationary period
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks involving walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, pushing
- work indoors and occasionally outdoors
- able to use heavy powered cleaning equipment
- wear PPE as required for exposure to contagious diseases and hazardous materials

Job Duties
- Performs the full range of cleaning tasks requiring use of powered cleaning equipment
- uses cleaning chemicals
- make beds, change linens, collect soiled linens, deliver clean linen and supplies
- remove, transport, repackage, dispose and store general waste, regulated medical waste, chemotherapeutic waste and radioactive waste
- check and replenish consumable supplies in the course of cleaning and servicing rooms and areas within the Medical Center
- remove, transport, repackage, dispose and store sharps as a part of service rendered to clinics in patient rooms, and may replace filled sharps containers with empty containers
