Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment as determined by background investigation
- Willingness to undergo drug urinalysis screening
- Selective Service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- Completion of online onboarding and presentation of acceptable identification
- Ability to complete a one-year probationary period
- Compliance with federal employment and application requirements
Job Qualifications
- Evidence of training or experience demonstrating knowledge, skills, and ability to perform housekeeping duties
- Experience with powered cleaning equipment preferred
- Ability to follow safety protocols and chemical handling instructions
- Ability to work various shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Good physical stamina and dexterity
- Basic communication skills
- No formal education requirement
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Job Duties
- Performs the full range of cleaning tasks using powered cleaning equipment
- Uses cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with label directions
- Makes beds, changes linens, collects and disposes of soiled linens and waste
- Checks and replenishes consumable supplies in rooms and areas
- Removes and disposes of sharps and replaces sharps containers as needed
- Cleans floors, walls, furniture, fixtures, and architectural features
- Supports infection control by sanitizing and disinfecting areas
