Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment as determined by background investigation
- Successful completion of urinalysis drug screening
- Selective service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- Completion of all application requirements
- Willingness to serve a 1-year probationary period
- Ability to physically perform requisite cleaning tasks and duties
- Commitment to health and safety protocols including influenza vaccination or approved exemption

Job Duties
- Clean wards, patient rooms, storerooms, offices, corridors, restrooms, shower rooms, and other areas
- Sweep, mop, scrub (machine) floors, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture, empty waste baskets, clean light globes and Venetian blinds, wash walls, windows and ceilings by climbing small ladders, refill toilet tissue and towel dispensers and move furniture
- Carry out assignments with minimal supervision
- Address spills quickly, install light bulbs in halls and rooms
- Make beds, change linens, distribute linens, dust furniture and blinds, clean the kitchen, load and unload dishwashers, vacuum, collect and remove waste, clean walls, corners, and baseboards
- Clean guest rooms as needed/upon checkout including changing bed linens, emptying trash, vacuuming and edging carpets, mopping bathroom floors, dusting all furniture, cleaning glass and mirrors, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing guest room supplies
- Perform daily cleaning of common areas including kitchen surfaces, appliances, ovens, refrigerators, living room, dining room, family room, laundry room, hallways, and bathrooms
- Inventory and reorder all needed cleaning supplies and equipment through VA EVS
