Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Suitable for federal employment as determined by background investigation
- Selective Service registration for males born after 12/31/1959
- Completion of online onboarding and acceptable identification for pre-employment
- Ability to perform continuous walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- Willingness to work Monday through Friday, 3:30 pm to 12 am
- Ability to use heavy powered cleaning equipment
- Completion of a 1-year probationary period
- Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program or approved exemption
- Compliance with federal employment conditions and documentation submission

- Good hand, foot, and eye coordination
- Knowledge of proper cleaning and sanitation techniques
Job Duties
- Executes a full range of housekeeping activities in patient and non-patient care areas
- Performs floor maintenance including sweeping, damp and wet mopping, scrubbing, stripping, refinishing and buffing floors
- Cleans doors, doorframes, baseboard corners, edges, stairwells, and glass surfaces
- Empties trash and wastebaskets, replaces liners, and transports general refuse, medical waste and recycling to central collection areas
- Cleans restrooms, bathrooms, and shower rooms, replenishing supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, hand sanitizers, and soap
- Moves and arranges furniture, patient wardrobes, beds, and provides bed-making services in patient care areas
- Removes soiled textiles from patient rooms and transports to designated soiled room
- Defrosts and cleans patient care refrigerators and ice machines
- Cleans stainless steel on storage instruments, cabinets, counters, elevators, and replaces curtains and cleans blinds
- Periodically cleans specific non-critical reusable medical equipment
- Provides guidance to Compensated Work Therapy workers if assigned
