Job Requirements
- U.S. citizenship
- Selective Service Registration for males born after December 31, 1959
- Ability to complete a probationary period
- Subject to background and security investigation
- Pre-employment physical examination
- Completion of online onboarding process including acceptable identification
- Participation in seasonal influenza vaccination program
- Adherence to safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to safely handle equipment weighing over 50 pounds
- Willingness to work indoors and occasionally outdoors
- Availability to work full time or part time
- Pass necessary credentialing and suitability fitness assessments
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of housekeeping principles and cleaning procedures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, pulling, and pushing
- Experience handling cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Demonstrated reliability and dependability in previous roles
- Ability to follow directions and safety protocols
- Basic understanding of infection control in a healthcare environment
- Good manual dexterity and coordination
Job Duties
- Perform a full range of light and heavy cleaning duties in various areas including wards, patient rooms, offices, restrooms, corridors, and storerooms
- Sweep, mop, scrub floors using machines, vacuum carpets and upholstered furniture
- Empty waste baskets and properly dispose of trash
- Clean light globes, Venetian blinds, walls, windows, and ceilings using ladders when necessary
- Refill restroom supplies such as toilet tissue and towel dispensers
- Move furniture as needed within designated facilities
- Carry out housekeeping assignments with minimal supervision
