Job Requirements
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
- Possess knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
- Possess good vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Able to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Capable of exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting/polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if specific areas are not assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations, as well as guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking the housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
