Job Requirements
- Must pass HBM prescreen check
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- good public relations skills and communication
- able to perform basic manual labor
- frequently lift, push, pull, carry minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs
- able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk
- able to use stairway, escalator, elevator and ladder for climbing and standing throughout shifts
- previous janitorial or custodian experience preferred but not mandatory
- valid Hawaii driver’s license preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Communicate effectively in English and understand assigned tasks
- adhere to safety procedures at all times
- report safety concerns or building issues such as burnt light bulbs
- work well both as part of a team and independently
- ability to work in various environments and conditions
- capable of standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- clean and maintain commercial building thoroughly including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, leaf blowing, sanitizing, and wiping down areas
- maintain specific areas such as restrooms, offices, tables, chairs, benches, corridors, entrance areas, storefronts, garages, street curbs, loading docks, walkways, staircases, escalators, elevators, glass doors, and mirrors
- disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- remove fecal matter and rubbish found throughout the building
- address spills promptly by cleaning area and placing a caution sign
- maintain restrooms by ensuring cleanliness and restocking supplies
- collect and dispose of trash from bins, wastebaskets, and recyclables in designated areas, replace trash bag liners
- collaborate with the team to manage and push trash bins
- polish all stainless-steel surfaces
- inform appropriate HBM employee about needed cleaning supplies or equipment
- perform additional tasks assigned by HBM supervisor or property manager
- skillfully utilize cleaning machines including vacuum, leaf blower, power wash machine, and buffer or scrub machine
