Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and guests
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Willingness to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
  • Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and adjusting focus
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including full-time or part-time positions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Combination of education, training, or experience providing necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove all trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
