Job Requirements

  • Must have some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers and other cleaning equipment
  • ability to cooperate and willingness to work under supervision
  • must work as scheduled each week including weekends and holidays as needed
  • must have a pre-employment and annual tuberculosis screening examination

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience in environmental services preferable but not essential
  • must have some knowledge in the use of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers, and other cleaning equipment
  • ability to cooperate and willingness to work under supervision
  • must work as scheduled each week, including weekends and holidays
  • successful completion of pre-employment and annual tuberculosis screening

Job Duties

  • Clean and service rooms, baths, lavatories, offices, and facility common areas
  • clean window sills, empty trash baskets, dust, polish, sweep, mop, and arrange furniture in an organized fashion
  • wash, dry, fold, and dispense linens and residents' clothing
  • ensure that clean linen is returned to the linen storage area promptly
  • return clean residents' clothing to the appropriate owner
  • maintain laundry equipment cleanliness, remove lint from dryers, ensure tumblers are clean and appropriate
  • ensure processed linens and clothing are clean, wrinkle-free, and suitable for resident use prior to placing in service
