Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Good vision including close, distance, color and peripheral vision
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Willingness to work indoors and occasionally in extreme weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service
  • Flexible availability for shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove trash from guest rooms and outside areas
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including sliding doors, A/C grills, windows
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
