Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform tasks involving sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Good vision including close, distance, color and peripheral vision
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Willingness to work indoors and occasionally in extreme weather conditions
- Effective communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to maintain superior customer service
- Flexible availability for shifts
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including bath and kitchen areas
- Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- Remove trash from guest rooms and outside areas
- Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including sliding doors, A/C grills, windows
- Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if not assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
