Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Ability to lift and/or move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling as required
- Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work indoors with hard and carpeted floors
- Willingness to follow safety and security policies and report violations
- Flexible scheduling availability
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training or experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
- clean floors by vacuuming or washing
- remove trash from guest rooms
- dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
- ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned
- visually inspect guest rooms, public, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
- notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
- notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
