Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to lift and/or move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling as required
  • Vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work indoors with hard and carpeted floors
  • Willingness to follow safety and security policies and report violations
  • Flexible scheduling availability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
