Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Some related experience preferred
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to read and comprehend documents such as agreements correspondence and memos
Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables
Ability to maintain a courteous business-like manner when interacting with outside contacts residents and employees
Ability to use good judgment organize solve problems work as part of a team handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Must be able to operate a cell phone or pager and telephone
Physical ability to stand sit walk climb stairs lift and move up to 50 pounds
Ability to operate hand and power tools and maintenance or repair equipment
Must be able to see and perform tasks requiring close vision

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Some related cleaning or janitorial experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills with courteous and helpful demeanor
Good written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate cell phone pager and telephone
Ability to understand and follow instructions
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including lifting up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

Cleans resident apartment homes including dusting vacuuming sweeping scrubbing mopping waxing disinfecting washing windows
Empties trash waste and other disposable materials and transports to disposal area
Assists care staff with cleaning lobby restrooms hallways elevators stairwells and common spaces
Reports needed repairs to Executive Director and maintenance specialist
Operates cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently
Maintains courteous and helpful demeanor towards residents and families
Communicates effectively with team members and supervisors
