Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard housekeeping and laundry procedures
- high school diploma or equivalent education
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- specific vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
- ability to maintain flexible work hours including standing for eight hour shifts
- willingness to work in indoor environments with carpeted and hard surfaces
- exposure to variable weather conditions such as cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard procedures and techniques
- any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
- strong customer service skills
- ability to operate housekeeping equipment
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects
- attention to detail with cleanliness standards
- excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning baths and kitchens
- clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- remove all trash from guest rooms
- dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
- ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
- visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
- notify supervisor immediately of safety, security violations, or guest concerns
- operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
