Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • high school diploma or equivalent education
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • specific vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception
  • ability to maintain flexible work hours including standing for eight hour shifts
  • willingness to work in indoor environments with carpeted and hard surfaces
  • exposure to variable weather conditions such as cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard procedures and techniques
  • any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving objects
  • attention to detail with cleanliness standards
  • excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning baths and kitchens
  • clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of safety, security violations, or guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
