Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling
- Capability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and superior customer service
- Flexible availability
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
- clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- remove trash from guest rooms
- dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
- visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality cleanliness and presentation
- notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
- operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
