Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and crawling
  • Capability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and superior customer service
  • Flexible availability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
