Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Ability to adapt to exposure to extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • Ability to perform visual inspections and quality assessments

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors and windows
  • Remove trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards regardless of assigned area
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety and security policy violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
