Job Duties
- Completing daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas
- Demonstrating working knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements
- Displaying safe chemical use and equipment handling within the healthcare environment
- Maintaining cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment as outlined in standard work cart setup
- Removing waste and transporting to designated disposal areas following proper waste stream handling procedures
- Following infection prevention practices including proper cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, and isolation precautions
- Properly donning and doffing personal protective equipment (PPE)
