Job Requirements

  • minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • ability to perform physical activities such as sitting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling
  • specific vision abilities including close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • willingness to work indoors on hard or carpeted surfaces and exposed to extreme weather conditions
  • availability for flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • ability to perform physical tasks associated with housekeeping
  • excellent communication and customer service skills

  • basic operation of housekeeping equipment

Job Duties

  • maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas cleaning floors vacuuming or washing removing trash dusting and polishing furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors AC grills doors windows removing trash from outside areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms public areas and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • notify supervisor immediately of safety security violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • provide superior customer service when interacting with guests
